Digi-pak Design Draft

Here is a rough drawing of my digi-pak design including annotations as a reminder during the constructing process on Photoshop. I have decided to use the continuous conventions found in the Soul genre, during my research I have found, majority of album covers use a black and white colour scheme to have more dynamic images. With Emeli Sande's album I have noticed the use of italics making the cover eye-catching to the audience as the name stands out. Placing a large image of the artist on the front cover is the main aspect of which catches the publics attention, I believe having my model keep her eyes open will gain more attention as she would appear to be looking out to the audience.

Using vine patterns around the frame adds a romantic theme which corresponds to Emeli Sande’s music, manipulating the image to a transparent design adds an elegant design. The fonts will mainly be in a calligraphy style in a silver colour making them compliment the black background. While a golden colour will be used to highlight the artist’s name, making it stand out in addition the name will be in a different font creating variation with the other texts.
